Financial Coaching
Most people do not realize the toll that emotions and other factors take on our financial decision making abilities. Managing money is not solely about dollars and cents. Many times we need someone to help us along the way. That’s where a financial coach can help.
Financial coaching is a collaborative practice where a third party coach works with someone to help them understand how they make financial decisions. Part of this process is objectively looking at their financial situation and providing advice, guidance, and education to help them manage their money better. We emphasize collaboration throughout the coaching process, making sure that we are focusing on what our client wants to accomplish with empathy and without judgement – whether that is getting out of debt, building wealth, or having more confidence with money. We want our client to feel successful when it comes to their life and money, whatever that looks like for them. Frequently Asked Questions
How can I book my appointment?
Simply use the scheduling link throughout our website, or click on the Contact tab and fill out an interest form.
Can we meet in person?
Absolutely! Appointments can be held in person, virtually via video call, or over the phone. Personally, Kenyon prefers in person or a video call so he can better read your body language and emotions throughout the session.
What if I need to cancel or reschedule?
If you need to reschedule, there is no charge for that. If you need to cancel entirely, please do so with at least 24 hours’ notice. Cancellations with less than 24 hours notice will be refunded 50% of their session cost. Missed appointments will not be eligible for a refund.
How much does an appointment cost?
Our initial call is only 30 minutes and free of charge to make sure coaching is a good fit for you. Subsequent appointments are billed at a rate of $100 per hour and usually occur monthly or quarterly, depending on the client’s needs. Typically, Kenyon needs an hour so he can get an accurate picture of your situation, goals, and to help develop a plan together.
How many sessions will I need?
Everyone’s situation is different. Kenyon cannot say definitively how many sessions you will need before meeting with you. Even then, it often depends on the complexity of your situation and the work you put in between sessions. A typical meeting cadence is monthly, quarterly, or somewhere in between.
What documents do I need to prepare ahead of time?
The documents you need to prepare will vary based on the topic you would like to discuss. Most of the time we will need bank statements, credit card statements, loan statements, and anything else you think is relevant to the conversation. Occasionally, we may need to review your credit report.
